MATSE offers departmental scholarships to its full-time undergraduate students on the basis of academic achievement and financial need. Students need to apply each academic year in order to be considered.
Deadline: April 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
Scholarships will be awarded by mid-July.
Current MatSE students, except first-year students, must apply by April 15 each spring semester to be considered for a departmental scholarship. Awardees will be selected and notified in the summer. In order to retain scholarships granted by the department, students must be enrolled in the major and on a full-time basis. In the event that a student withdraws from the University or changes majors, his or her scholarship will terminate immediately.
The application opens in February and closes at 12:00 a.m. on April 16 each year. Students are notified at their @psu.edu email when the application is open.
