MatSE Undergraduate Poster Competition
The MatSE Undergraduate Poster Competition is a chance for undergraduate students to showcase their research, and connect and share their work with other students, faculty, and staff. The exhibition is organized by MatSE and opens in the beginning of the spring semester, entries are due in early March.
MVC - Materials Visualization Competition
MVC is a scientific visual and artistic competition sponsored by MatSE and the Materials Research Institute (MRI). Created to celebrate the quality of research in materials at Penn State, this competition promises to increase awareness of materials science through the creativity and visualization of our researchers.

Schreyer Honors College
The Schreyer Honors College at Penn State offers small class size and one-to-one access to distinguished faculty, all within one of the world’s leading research institutions. Just five percent of the undergraduate students enrolled at Penn State are members of the Schreyer Honors College and can earn the distinction of graduating with honors from Penn State.
Millennium Scholars
The Penn State Millennium Scholars Program is designed for high-achieving science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) students who will become leaders in their chosen fields and are committed to increasing the diversity of professionals in STEM-related disciplines. Millennium Scholars are students with both the passion and the ability to advance the frontiers of knowledge and change the world.
