Nicholas Clark
Nicholas Clark, Ph.D,, is an assistant research professor at Penn State. He received a bachelors and doctoral degrees from Penn State. He is the co-inventor of LionGlass, a novel family of alumino-silicophosphate glasses which drastically reduces the carbon footprint of glass manufacturing by eliminating the use of carbonate raw materials and lowering the melting temperature of the glass by over 400°C. He currently oversees several industrial partnerships aimed at scale-up and industrializing this technology.
This faculty member is associated with the Penn State Intercollege Graduate Degree Program (IGDP) in Materials Science and Engineering (MatSE) where a multitude of perspectives and cross-disciplinary collaboration within research is highly valued. Graduate students in the IGDP in MatSE may work with faculty members from across Penn State.
