The Energy Institute (EI) and the Alliance for Education, Science, Engineering, and Design with Africa (AESEDA), in the the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS), are jointly launching a student-led seminar initiative beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. This initiative is designed to provide a platform for graduate students affiliated with EI and/or AESEDA to present their research and engage in scholarly exchange through monthly seminars. Additionally, we will also have invited talks and career development discussions during the seminars.
As part of this launch, we are hosting a welcome event on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in C213, Coal Utilization Laboratory (CUL), Energy Institute. We are honored to have Dr. Lee Kump, Dean of EMS, address participants during the event.
