MATSE offers departmental scholarships to its full-time undergraduate students based on academic achievement and financial need. Students must apply each academic year to be considered.
Deadline: April 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Scholarships will be awarded by July 31.
Current MatSE students must apply by April 15 each spring semester to be considered for a department scholarship. Awardees will be selected and notified by July 31. To retain scholarships granted by the department, students must be MATSE_BS or EMSC_PMAJ (intending MATSE) majors and on a full-time basis. If a student withdraws from the University or changes majors, the MATSE department scholarship terminates immediately.
The application period opens in February and closes at 11:59 p.m. on April 15 each year. Students are notified at their @psu.edu email when the application period opens each spring.
