Spend A Summer Day is a campus open house for prospective first-year students to learn about admissions, student financial aid, academics, housing and residence life, and student activities at Penn State. At University Park, all academic units have 40-minute presentations as part of the full-day program. Information and registration are typically available in May of each year.
ABOUT SPEND A SUMMER DAY
Students and their families visit our campus during the summer to learn more about the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and Penn State. We host information sessions and departmental tours to help your learn about our college and the programs we offer. Visit opportunities occur toward the end of July and beginning of August. *Note: If participating in the Spend a Summer Day (SASD) program, you will have the opportunity to speak with department representatives and tour the department classrooms and labs. No visit submission form is necessary as it is included in the Spend a Summer Day program.
Spend a Summer Day typically includes:
An Information Fair - featuring activites and student support offices from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Representatives from Undergraduate Admissions, Student Aid, and Penn State campuses will be available all day.
Campus tours and representatives from Admissions and Student Aid will be available continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
