The Department of Materials Science and Engineering offers poster printing and framing to members of the department only. Faculty, staff, and students are required to design their own posters—the department is only responsible for printing and/or framing.
Poster Printing Guidelines
Help us get your poster to you in a timely manner, the following the guidelines below must be followed:
Submit your poster(s) to MatSE administrative office at email@example.com along with the Poster Printing Form, according to the time schedule listed below. (Poster Printing Forms are not necessary for department poster contests since the posters remain the property of the department after the contest.)
Unless you are participating in a poster contest, you will receive an email when your poster is printed. Please stop by 225 Steidle ASAP to review your poster after receiving an email notification.
Posters must be 36"x48" in either landscape or portrait page orientation. Posters larger than 36"x48" will not be printed. (In PDF format click Ctrl-D to check size.)
For department poster competitions where many posters are being printed and mounted, please make sure all posters are submitted at least 10 business days prior to the event date.
For individual posters that only need to be printed, submit your poster at least 4 business days prior to the date needed. For example: if you need a poster by Friday at 1 p.m., submit it by Tuesday at 1p.m. This allows adequate time for printing and reviewing of your poster.
For individual posters that need to be printed AND framed, submit your poster at least 5 business days prior to the date needed. This allows for printing, reviewing, reprinting if needed and framing services. For example: if you need a poster by Friday at 1 p.m., submit it by the previous Monday at 1p.m.
If your poster is too large to email, please copy it onto a memory stick and bring it to 225 Steidle Building.
