Material Advantage is a nationwide student program for students interested in materials science and engineering which provides students opportunities including professional development, industry and research exposure and community building.
Material Advantage was founded by four professional societies:
ACerS - The American Ceramic Society
AIST - Association for Iron & Steel Technology
ASM International - The Materials Information Society
TMS - The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society
Students with a Material Advantage membership also automatically have memberships in the four founding societies which opens opportunities for networking, scholarships and journals.
