Dr. Shang is working with Dr. Zi-Kui Liu at the Phases Research Lab in the field of computational materials science. He is using computational thermodynamics, first-principles, and first-principles phonon calculations to study thermodynamic, diffusion, and mechanical properties of ordered & disordered alloys, compounds, and functional materials.
