Kavyashree Keremane
Kavyashree Keremane is an assistant research professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MatSE) at Penn State. Previously, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in MatSE at the University. Her research focuses on optoelectronics, photovoltaics, and bio-hybrid materials by integrating materials science, molecular engineering, electronics, and energy research. She specializes in the design and fabrication of multifunctional materials and semiconductor devices, with expertise in thin-film processing, cleanroom nanofabrication, interface engineering, and advanced materials characterization. Her work includes perovskite and organic photovoltaics, bio-inspired DNA-semiconductor hybrid memristors, wireless power transfer systems for implantable bioelectronics, and neurochemical sensing platforms. Her work emphasizes sustainable, energy-efficient, and adaptive technologies for applications in energy harvesting, intelligent electronics, sensing, data storage, and biomedical systems.
