Please save October 20 and 21 for Materials Day 2022, the annual marquee event for materials-related interdisciplinary science and engineering at Penn State. Held by the Materials Research Institute, this year’s event theme is "Materials Impacting Society."
Breakout sessions and topics will address a perennial issue in university research: Researchers translating their discoveries in the lab to a point that they can be transitioned into the marketplace where they can benefit society.
Materials Day will be an in-person conference this year. The event will feature poster sessions and keynote addresses at University Park’s HUB-Robeson Center on October 20, followed by a reception at the Millennium Science Complex. This year’s Materials Day keynotes will be John Mauro, Penn State professor of materials science and engineering, and Dan Hayes, professor of biomedical engineering. October 21 will feature a variety of breakout sessions by Penn State faculty and industry leaders at the Millennium Science Complex.
Please stay tuned for future updates such as program details and registration information, including attendee fees.
Registration will open in mid-July!
