Nominations for the Catherine Lyons Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Undergraduate Student Award, Catherine Lyons Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Graduate Student Award, Charles Hosler Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Faculty Award, and the Charles Hosler Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Postdoc Award are now being accepted. (The Charles Hosler Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Staff Award accepts nominations in the fall semester). These EMS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion awards are made annually by the EMS Diversity Council and honor individuals in EMS who have demonstrated exemplary leadership that manifests the ideals of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging into practical action. They are designed to foster an academically enriching and supportive climate for all members of our community and to bolster an inclusive environment. Please consider nominating someone you know who has been outstanding in this area.
Nominations are highly encouraged. Nominations in any category can be made by anyone in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, including faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and students. The deadline to submit is Monday, February 16. More information on the procedure and nomination form can be found on the Office of Educational Equity website’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Awards tab. While self-nominations are not accepted, you can work with someone to nominate you. In addition to the nomination form, nominations require a supporting letter of recommendation.
