The Schmidt Science Fellows program provides the world’s best emerging scientists with new skills and perspectives to develop novel solutions to society’s challenges, become scientific and societal thought leaders, and accelerate ground-breaking discoveries. Established by Eric and Wendy Schmidt in 2017, the Schmidt Science Fellows provides up to $100,000 per year (up to two years totaling $200,000) to support a postdoctoral placement at a premier laboratory anywhere in the world in a field different than their PhD.
In coordination with The Graduate School, the Office of Foundation Relations is hosting a virtual information session about the fellowship on Wednesday, April 13 at 1 p.m. Staff will provide an overview of the fellowship including eligibility and selection criteria, explain Penn State’s internal application process for candidates, and share important deadlines.
Interested candidates are encouraged to complete this form and submit a question.
A recording of this information session will be emailed to all registrants. Deadline to submit questions in advance is Tuesday, April 12.
