We will be holding the 4th annual WISER/MURE/FURP Undergraduate Research Symposium this fall. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their research, interact with faculty, staff, and other program participants, and hear a keynote talk from a past program participant. We will adopt a virtual format for student presentations. We ask that students prepare a lightning talk on their research.
What is a lightning talk?
A lightning talk is a short presentation that highlights a research project. For the symposium students should prepare 2-3 Power Point slides that will be presented via zoom (live) with a 2 minute time limit. Talks should focus on providing short concise statements on research questions and their importance, methods, and results/preliminary results. Following a group of student talks, we will have a short question/answer session.
