Wordmarks and Logos

MatSE wordmarks and Penn State logos are supplied for use in University and Department projects. To review proper usage of the University word mark and symbol, please review the University Graphic Identity System.

Various file types are available. Each file is saved at a size of approximately 8-inches wide/long, at medium resolution. Each will be acceptable for Powerpoint and Word insert.  If you need a word mark that is not listed, please contact Mike Fleck with a detailed description.

 


 

FILE TYPES AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD:

EMF: A Windows-native vector format with a transparent background. Scalable without loss in quality. Use in PowerPoint and Word documents.

PNG: A bitmapped file format with a transparent background. Scalable with minimal quality loss. Use in PowerPoint and Word documents, as well as other applications (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Movie-making apps., etc.)

JPG/JPEG:  A bitmapped file format with a solid background. Quality loss occurs with scaling. Use for internet application, Powerpoint and Word documents. (Contact Mike Fleck for download).

TIFF: A bitmapped file format with a solid background. Primarily used for high-quality print application. (Contact Mike Fleck for download).

EPS: An Adobe-native vector-based file format. Scalable without loss in quality. Can be used in a wide range of applications.  (Contact Mike Fleck for download). 

*NOTE: White EMF files will not have a drop shadow. White PNG files will have a drop shadow.
