Safety Week 2012 - Intro to Safety

Wednesday 9/5 1:15-2:15pm
INTRODUCTION TO SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
MANDATORY for all non-laboratory personnel (other than undergraduates), meaning anyone that has desk in MatSE but does not work in a laboratory.

This training covers hazards that can occur in while working in a building with laboratories, even when you don't work in a laboratory environment.

Prior to the training, you must complete:

Module #1: Introduction to Safety (21:00 mins)

Module #4: Emergency Preparedness (13:00 mins)

There is a quiz at the end of each module. If the quiz is passed, enter your name and a
certificate will be generated. Print out this certificate. If the quiz is not passed, the module will need to be re-started and re-take the quiz.

Enroll in the appropriate session on our EHS training webpage. Watch both modules prior to attending this session, pass both quizzes, enter your name and print both certificates, and bring both certificates to this session.

  1. Go the EHS online registration system located at http://www.ehs.psu.edu/training/index.cfm
  2. Click on "EHS Online Course Registration"
  3. Log in using your CAC ID
  4. Click "Courses"
  5. Click "On Site"
  6. Click "Introduction to Safety and Emergency Preparedness"
  7. Click "Enroll" next to the desired class date (9/52012  @ 1:15pm)
