Safety Week 2012-Chemical & Hazardous Waste

Tuesday 9/4 1:15-2:15pm or Friday 9/7 9:00-10:00am
CHEMICAL AND HAZARDOUS WASTE INITIAL TRAINING
MANDATORY for all incoming students that will be working in a lab with chemicals.

Enroll in the appropriate session on our EHS training webpage:

   1.  Go the EHS online registration system located at http://www.ehs.psu.edu/training/index.cfm
   2. Click on "EHS Online Course Registration"
   3. Log in using your CAC ID
   4. Click "View Courses"
   5.  Click "Laboratory Safety"
   6. Click " Laboratory Safety - (Initial)"
   7. Click "Enroll" next to the desired class date: (9/4 or 9/7 MATSE only)
   8. Click on the online portion-(4 online modules)
   9. Bring your printed certificate to the face to face portion that you enrolled in.

Prerequisite to attending the final review session are four modules:
1) Introduction to Safety (21:10 minutes)
2) Chemical Safety (25:00 minutes)
3) Hazardous Waste Management and Disposal (16:25 minutes)
4) Emergency Preparedness (12:49 minutes)

Watch all 4 modules, pass all 4 quizzes. Bring all 4 certificates to the final session, which will be held during your MATSE safety week.
Enroll in the appropriate session on our EHS training webpage. Watch all 4 modules prior to attending this session, pass all 4 quizzes, enter your name and print all 4 certificates, and bring all 4 certificates to the face to face portion in 301 Steidle.
