Public Computer Availability

The department provides a variety of public computers located in classrooms and conference rooms. These computers are managed with the Penn State Computer Lab Management (PSU CLM) system and anyone with a Penn State Access ID and password can access them.

MatSE Computer Lab:

Formerly located in 119 Steidle, this lab will be relocated to 105 Deike during renovation.

A private MatSE computer classroom and open lab for students to complete their assignments. Workstations in this lab feature special software for MatSE students to complete assignments, including:

- Mathematica

- MatLab

- ThermoCalc

- Dictra

- CrystalMaker,

- HSC Chemistry


Classes in this lab have first priority and can be scheduled by viewing the calendar and then e-mailing No eating or drinking is allowed in this lab.
