Declaring MatSE as Major

Most Penn State students participate in the university's eLion-based Entry-to-Major (ETM) process in the Spring semester of their sophomore year, and officially enter their major at the start of their Junior year. In EMS you don't have to wait that long! The College of EMS policy is:

"A student may enter the EMS major (and option) of her/his choice as soon as they have earned a GPA of 2.00 or better after at least one full year of study."

If you are changing majors to MatSE from a non-MatSE major, you must complete an Entry-to-Major form (available in the Ryan Family Student Center, 14 Deike Building) and meet with a representative of MatSE so that you can be assigned a new faculty adviser. Please contact Allen Kimel (rak189@psu.edu) for more information.
