Regional Commercial VP Americas

Responsible for overall revenue generation for emerging markets in the Americas region; includes growing existing key accounts, developing new business, and leading strategic marketing efforts within this region. This role will work across key strategic markets driving overall growth and customer value to achieve a variety of objectives.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Leads regional sales and strategic marketing efforts across all CoorsTek product lines.
  • Within the region, works across diverse and specialized markets providing overall sales management with a focus on identifying and growing key accounts.
  • Through strategic marketing, effectively differentiates CoorsTek from its competitors, understands our competitive advantage and pro-actively tells our story.
  • Identifies, develops and maintains business growth opportunities with strategic regional customers. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Develops strategies to meet increased revenue and profit goals, including account specific strategic plans. Achieves revenue targets/grows revenue within assigned region.
  • Develops and maintains a strong understanding of regional market conditions/trends and customer needs to shape sales approach for existing and new customers.
  • Acts as regional lead to prioritize sales opportunities based on macro and micro tends.
  • Works in partnership with vertical sales teams to maintain and grow sales by determining and demonstrating how CoorsTek’s solutions can meet customer needs.
  • Applies marketing insights and tools to measure market performance.
  • Drives a collaborative effort between CoorsTek teams to deliver customer solutions and actively grow the business.
  • Creates demand for CoorsTek products and solutions though proactive selling and education of customers.
  • Builds a positive CoorsTek reputation throughout the target markets via activities such as trade shows, advertising, strategic partnering and participation with industry organizations.
  • Leads joint planning efforts for assigned region including:
    • Strategic Planning
    • Revenue Forecasting
    • Product planning
    • R&D planning
  • Provides leadership and regional expertise to unite commercial efforts including outside and inside sales, sales operations, marketing, and pricing functions.
  • Manages the regional sales team, including product managers, key account managers, inside sales reps and customer service reps. Drives metrics to achieve revenue and strategy objectives within the team.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelors’ Degree in Ceramics, Materials Science, Metallurgy or other equivalent field
  • MBA preferred


  • Twenty (20) years combination of education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to plan and execute extremely complex sales or account management processes required
  • Twenty (20) years of technical sales experience, preferably in ceramics or advanced materials
  • Twenty (20) years of key account management and strategic marketing experience across many verticals

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of the full range of CoorsTek materials, products and market segments or manufacturing and processing of specialty engineered products
  • Ability to travel internationally /domestically up to 60% of the time
  • Must be proficient in working with diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds, exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
