ACerS 2009 Football Winner
   
 

The Materials Science and Engineering Department sponsored a Penn State reception in conjunction with The American Ceramic Society meeting on January 19, 2009. Over fifty alumni, students, faculty and friends attended the event held in Daytona Beach, FL.

We would like to congratulate Dr. Curtis Johnson '69, '74 from GE Research who won the autographed Joe Paterno football.  Dr. Johnson was also the recipient of the 2009 James I. Mueller Memorial Award.  This award recognizes the enormous contributions of James I. Mueller to the Engineering Ceramics Division and the field of engineering ceramics. It is the intent of this award to recognize the accomplishments of individuals who have made similar contributions.
