MatSE Bids Farewell to Four Faculty Members

MatSE bids farewell to four faculty members who have a combined 110 years of service to Penn State.  On September 5, 2012, members of the department gathered for a reception to celebrate and send well wishes to Professors Green, Howell, MacDonald and Painter.  Thank you for your many years of service and leadership.

David Green, Professor Emeritus of Ceramic Science and Engineering, began his career at Penn State on September 1, 1984. Professor Green retired on June 30, 2012.

Paul Howell, Professor Emeritus of Metallurgy began his career at Penn State on September 1, 1981.  Professor Howell retired on December 31, 2011.

Digby MacDonald, Professor Emeritus of Materials Science and Engineering  began his career at Penn State on July 1, 1991. Professor MacDonald plans to retire December 31, 2012.

Paul Painter, Professor Emeritus of Polymer Science began his career at Penn State on July 1, 1977.  Professor Painter plans to retire December 31, 2012.
