Jiamian Hu, a visiting scholar in the Long-Qing Chen research group from Tsinghua University has received the MRS graduate student Gold Medal based on the research he performed at Penn State. Jiamian Hu is a graduate student at Tsinghua University working under the direction of Professor Cewen Nan and is visiting Penn State for four months to work under the direction of Professor Long-Qing Chen.   Jiamian is one of the 6 gold medal winners among 25 finalists at the MRS fall meeting.  The results that Jiamian presented were recently published in the Journal, Nature Communications.  This is first Gold medal winner for a Chinese graduate student.  Congratulations Jiamian!
