The department of Materials Science and Engineering is saddened by the news that Charles E. Brackbill passed away on April 10, 2012. Mr. Brackbill received his bachelor's degree from Penn State in ceramic engineering in 1949. He was a member of the American Ceramics Society, Keramos Honorary Society, Life Member of the Penn State University Alumni Association and Lady Lion Cager Club.
