Sintering and Engineered Microstructures

The Messing Research Group concentrates on studying the relationship between processing conditions and microstructural development in ceramic materials.  We then use this knowledge to produce ceramics with microstructures tailored to provide unique properties unavailable in traditionally processed ceramics and single crystals.
