Students must meet the following criteria to participate in the International Internship in Materials Program:

- GPA 3.0 or above
- Language capability or reasonable plan to gain
- Financial plan to pay for expenses associated with program
- Sufficient laboratory experience
- Safety training
- Completed MatSE 201 and MatSE 460
- Semester 5 standing or above
- Statement of interest letter
- If approved student will attend cultural class from OEA
