Advising

Everyone involved in the Intercollege Graduate Degree Program in Materials Science and Engineering is dedicated to assisting graduate students with all aspects of their educational and research experience. Students enrolled in our graduate program are afforded the luxury of having access to both an assigned faculty adviser and to our Graduate Student Services Office.

Faculty Adviser

Your graduate faculty adviser will be assigned to you upon your enrollment in the program. This adviser will help guide you through your graduate studies and research on a day-to-day basis.

Graduate Student Services Office

Located in 112 Research Unit A, the Graduate Student Services Office is available to assist students with general questions about the department and to provide assistance with:

  • Registration
  • Candidacy Exam Registration and Processing
  • Liaison to the Graduate School for Comprehensive Exams and Defenses
  • Graduate Appointments

The Student Services Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
