Bio

Osseo-Asare, Distinguished Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, and Energy and Mineral Engineering is a member of the United States National Academy of Engineering. He received B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California (Berkeley).  His research interests include aqueous processing: materials synthesis and processing, nanoparticle synthesis, purification and assembly, wet processing in semiconductor fabrication, chemical-mechanical polishing, surface cleaning, and finishing, hydrometallurgy, separation science and technology, environmental systems, applied aqueous chemistry, interfacial and colloidal phenomena, surfactant science, semiconductor electrochemistry, and thermodynamic modeling.
