Sandra Kosinski has 25 years of experience in the field of fiber optics. She is a world expert in fiber splicing and manufacturing of fiber based devices. Sandra has more than a dozen patents and patents applied for and is the author or coauthor of over 50 papers and technical talks. Sandra worked for 23 years at Bell Labs of which 21 were in the Optical Fiber Research Department. Since then she has helped to start Kodeos Communications and spent 2 years as their Vice President of Manufacturing. After Kodeos she worked for 3 years at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in the Physics and Biomedical Engineering Departments managing grants and students researching the fluid dynamics of shunts for the treatment of hydrocephalus, spectroscopy as a means of non-invasive glucose monitoring and optical analysis of the eye for the non-invasive measurement of cerebro-spinal fluid pressure. She is presently a consultant in the areas of optical fiber splicing and manufacturing of fiber based devices as well as a practicing ceramic artist. |
